Amending & Proposing Positions

The legislative and permanent positions, together with the bylaws and operating policies, form the governing foundations of WSSDA. Once a year, school board members submit proposals for amending existing positions or creating new ones. The 2019 window for submitting proposals opens March 29 and closes May 10.

New for 2019

The two committees who act as the stewards of WSSDA positions have aligned their separate processes into a single position proposal process. The recordings below will describe how the process has evolved and how school directors can participate. Both videos address the same topics, but the longer version goes into further detail than the short version. And, here are two resources mentioned in the recordings:

Short Version: 9 Minutes

Long Version: 22 Minutes
